The Inner Shift, Mirrored Back
How do we know when we’ve shifted? It’s rarely something we recognize while we’re in the thick of it. For me, the in-between moments often feel like chaos. At the very least, a quiet withdrawal from everyday life.
But what defines that moment of change? The point when we realize we’re no longer the version of ourselves we once were.
For nearly two years, I’ve created frequency-encoded, upcycled art. During that time, my pieces followed a very clear theme: solid black backgrounds, simple yet elegant symbols, and often gold accents.
Black wasn’t a conscious choice—it was intuitive. I was magnetized to how it made me feel as I worked with it. To me, it represented depth. A sacred portal to the unseen realms.
In recent months, I’ve felt called to experiment more freely with new modalities, styles, and colors. Some have brought me immense joy, others not as much. But what I began to notice was an explosion of color infusing my newer pieces. My energy is expressing itself in a completely new way through my art, and I can trace this shift directly to changes happening within me.
Over these past two years, I’ve been moving through deep emotions, tending to shadow aspects, and learning what self-love truly means for the first time in my life. This chapter of my healing journey has been expressed through my “Frequency Artwork,” a collection of original pieces currently available on this site.
This shift from sacred, ceremonial, and ethereal work to joyful exploration of color, style, and modality has shown me how deeply our inner transformations are mirrored in the outer world. My most recent shift has been sketched, painted, and adorned across more than twenty pieces of recycled canvas, framed displays, and glass panels—each one embodying this healing journey.
When did you first recognize your own shift? Where is your journey being mirrored back to you?
