Lost No More
A little poem I wrote about my personal journey.
—————————
Lost no more, like she was before.
The tale of a girl born wild.
Moody and fierce, with eyes that pierced.
She was the talk of the family chatter.
Yet with a heart so big and feelings that hurt, she convinced herself it didn’t matter.
She forced a fit that wasn’t her and put on a show for the crowd.
Eager to please, she forgot about her, but to everyone else, she made proud.
It worked for a while; this fake smile. Until she decided she was worth the change.
To be bold and brave and make big waves, felt awfully strange.
First it was quilting and then it became art, she persued the things she found fun.
Her craft came with sound, from within it was found, her healing had begun.
The voice of the wild that belonged to the child was starting to emerge anew.
Now merged with this girl, she crafts sacred art and is ready for her debut.
A journey of healing, a journey of growth. Tragic, magic and sometimes both.
The girl she was, is no longer.
She is lost no more like she was before.
The tale of a girl who remembered to be wild.
